All of Dad’s ancestors were German immigrants who settled in Michigan during the 1800’s. His father, Erwin F. Rohde, was a descendant of Herman and Margaretha Rohde, who arrived in 1882. Dad’s mother, Elsa, was a descendant of Leonard and Anna Trump and Michael and Elizabetha Englehardt, who arrived in the 1850’s.
